Rebirth of the Queen: Regina Jenkins White’s Journey of Faith, Resilience, and Transformation"
Hey, Sista! I’m honored and grateful that you’re here. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today!
I’m excited to be here and share my story. Let me introduce myself. I’m Regina Jenkins White—a multifaceted woman with many roles and purposes. I’m a child of God, a devoted mother, godmother, daughter, sister, auntie, and a friend. I’m an encourager, motivator, truth-teller, and dreamer. I’m passionate about helping others recognize their potential and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives. I’m a life, growth, and leadership coach, and the proud owner of Transformation Coaching & Consulting, where I offer advisory services, leadership development, and coaching.
I’m also the founder and CEO of Mpowerd, a nonprofit that helps single moms build strong futures for themselves and their families. And now, I am an author, contributing to The Second Wind anthology with my chapter, “Rebirth of the Queen.” I am a queen, and I want to help other women recognize their true identities too!
Well, this year has flown by, and we’re just a few weeks away from a brand-new year! When you look back at 2024, what is your biggest lesson learned, and how did it shape your decision to move boldly into your next chapter?
Looking back, I always knew God had a plan for me, but watching Him move in my life in 2024 was a game-changer. It hit me that everything works together for my good, according to His plan. Knowing that His plans never fail gave me confidence and boldness. I no longer feel the need to compare myself to others or second guess myself. I’ve realized I already have everything I need within me to complete the assignment God has given me.
This shift in mindset has allowed me to step into spaces that fear had kept me out of before. Moving forward, I just need to show up and use what I’ve got. And if there’s something I lack, I trust that God has a plan for that part too.
Resilience is a powerful theme that speaks to women's fierce spirit, but we sometimes face setbacks that can feel overwhelming. What was one obstacle in 2024 that pushed you to dig deeper and keep going, and what did you learn about your strength in the process?
Resilience is funny because you don’t always know you have it until you’re challenged. For me, the first half of 2024 was tough—I wasn’t generating any income. I’d taken on some costly projects, expecting that I’d be able to meet those obligations. But no matter my skills, experience, and connections, I couldn’t find a job. It was incredibly frustrating, especially since I’d never been in that position before.
That’s when I heard God tell me to rest in Him. And that was hard! I’m a Type A, get-it-done, no-excuses person. But I learned to listen and trust that I didn’t need to constantly push to make things happen. Resting wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. I learned that God’s strength is greater than my own, and I don’t have to be strong all the time. When I surrendered, God brought a job to me—just like that.
That’s amazing Sista! So listen, we know resilience isn’t always about bouncing back—it’s sometimes about growing through the mess! Is there a time when you turned a challenging situation into an opportunity for personal or professional growth?
Absolutely! Life has thrown a lot of challenges my way, but stopping has never been an option. During the pandemic, I lost what I considered my “dream job” as a consultant. That job allowed me to travel, solve problems, and make a real difference. But when I was downsized and no one was hiring, I had to see it as an opportunity. I used that time to start my own consulting business, Transformation, and to launch my nonprofit, Mpowerd.
Even though I was dealing with disappointment, I recognized that life’s challenges often open new doors. My business has been consistent, and Mpowerd is now celebrating four years of serving single moms across the U.S. and Canada!
Okay, before we go, I have one last question. Well, it has two parts... Looking ahead to 2025, how will you use what you’ve learned to create a better tomorrow? And, what advice would you give to women looking to strengthen their resilience for the new year?
In 2025, I plan to keep pushing myself into uncomfortable spaces. I’m embracing the discomfort and using it as a tool to grow. That means doing the work, stepping out, taking the classes, meeting the right people. But while I do that, I’ll still prioritize rest and trust that I don’t have to make everything happen on my own. God’s got me.
As for advice to other women, I’d say this: know who you are and what you’re put here to do. When you tap into your true identity, you’ll realize that nothing can stop you. Trust the process, trust God, and never be afraid to stand strong. With faith, patience, and persistence, you can create the life you’ve always dreamed of.
